Meet The Team

Sandy Bichard

Sandy Bichard, M.A., Clinical Psychology, BC-HIS*

*Board Certified in Hearing Instrument Sciences
Registered Hearing Instrument Practitioner

“I love what I do because hearing better keeps people connected to the most important people in their lives. One of the perks of growing up and living in the same community where my clinic is located, is the pleasure of meeting up with former neighbors, teachers, and parents of school friends, and in recent years, former classmates, who come to Richmond Hearing Consultants for hearing health care services.” And Sandy loves hearing stories of Richmond through the decades. Make sure you share some of yours with her!

As I believe it is my responsibility to give back to a profession that gives me so much, for many years I have actively volunteered with provincial and national professional associations, and provincial regulatory authorities. Positions included Director, College of Speech and Hearing Health Professionals of B.C.; Director and President of Hearing Instrument Practitioners Society of B.C.; Vice-Chair, Board of Hearing Aid Dealers and Consultants of B.C.; Chair, Canadian Hearing Instrument Practitioners Society; Committee Member, International Hearing Society.

Scott McDonald

Scott McDonald, B.A.

Registered Hearing Instrument Practitioner

Prior to moving to Vancouver and becoming a valued team member with Richmond Hearing Consultants, Scott had his own practice in the Cowichan Valley on Vancouver Island for many years. Being service- and community-minded, Scott was an active volunteer in the community with Rotary, the Seniors Advisory Committee, and Fire and Rescue.
At the beginning of his career, Scott trained with and later managed clinics for a large family-owned chain of hearing aid dispensing clinics.
Scott was a professional musician (everybody loves a drummer!) for many years in the Toronto area before moving out west to continue his education. His transition from playing music to communication sciences and hearing health care occurred because of his exposure to hearing loss — both within his family and among his musician friends.
Scott is passionate about his work, music, and he enjoys the outdoors and attending music concerts — especially the annual Vancouver Jazz Festival.

Sharon Bowles

Customer Care Coordinator

“Being part of our team and working with the people of our community is a very rewarding experience. Helping people with solutions for their hearing needs is something that I enjoy. Getting to meet really interesting people is the highlight of my day!

I welcome you to come in and share a laugh or two (and maybe a candy or three).”
